wunderloop picked as one of Most Innovative, Fastest Growing Companies

wunderloop trains next-generation business professionals from top European universities INSEAD and IESE

Only the most innovative and fastest-growing companies in Europe are considered good enough to successfully teach hands-on business expertise in the “European Entrepreneurship Accelerator” MBA training program.

wunderloop was one of ten European companies picked to convey successful business practices in the “European Entrepreneurship Accelerator” MBA program

Today, four MBA students from the elite universities INSEAD in Fontainebleau near Paris (France) and IESE in Barcelona (Spain) successfully completed their “European Entrepreneurship Accelerator” (EEA) program at wunderloop with the presentation of their business cases in Barcelona. The MBA training project is designed to give INSEAD and IESE students a chance to work productively with the ten most innovative companies in Europe. In a rigorous selection procedure, more than 250 companies from all over Europe were screened for criteria including steep annual growth rates, a compelling business model, global approach and internationally noted management. wunderloop met all the criteria and was picked by the world’s two most respected business schools to participate in the EEA program.

The INSEAD and IESE business schools have an excellent international reputation, and are regularly among the Top 25 most respected MBA Institutes in global rankings. The “European Entrepreneurship Accelerator” (EEA) program jointly launched by the institutes last year gives their graduates a unique opportunity to gain specific, hands-on entrepreneurial experience at the ten fastest-growing and most innovative companies in Europe. Representatives of both business schools selected the companies in question from over 250 European applicants, in a three-month process. The committee paid particular attention to the following conditional criteria in their selection: The ten participants in the EEA program were to have annual growth rates of over 100 percent, an attractive and compelling business model and a significant customer base. They should be set up for the pan-European or global market and have noted executive officers in their management. The second round of INSEAD and IESE’s EEA program took place from October 1 to December 15 this year.

“This cooperation with Europe’s best MBA students was an exciting experience from which both sides benefited. The students were delighted with our Integrated Behavioral Targeting Services and developed good approaches for further optimizing value creation,” said Ulrich Hegge, wunderloop’s co-founder and management spokesman. “The European entrepreneurship program is designed to help our students see the great opportunities that lie beyond industrial, banking and consulting corporations,” adds Peter Zaboji, Professor of Entrepreneurship at INSEAD. “wunderloop impressed us especially with its innovative product, its extraordinary growth potential, its experienced management team led by founder Ulrich Hegge, and the dedication of a Chairman like Michael Kleindl, who is one of Europe’s most respected entrepreneurial figures. This gave us absolute confidence that wunderloop would be able to convey the entrepreneurial spirit of the future to our students.”

“INSEAD and IESE are two of the most respected business schools in the world. To be selected for the European Entrepreneurship Accelerator program is a great honor for wunderloop, one that cannot be overrated,” said Michael Kleindl, Chairman of the wunderloop Advisory Board.

The EEA program saw wunderloop working with four MBA students from the two top universities. In addition to several visits to the company’s Hamburg and Barcelona offices and its Luxembourg headquarters, the students maintained regular online contact with the management and participated in regular meetings (video conferences). In this way, the students got to know wunderloop’s entrepreneurial challenges, recipes for success and strategies first-hand. The training program concluded with the students’ presentation of the company and successful business cases at a meeting of all participants in Barcelona on December 16.
